The daytime high tide at NOAA’s Delray Beach station is predicted for 10:49 a.m. Friday. In its September 8–13 regional outlook, the South Florida Water Management District says Southeast Florida’s tidal water levels may approach the minor-flooding threshold.
NOAA’s daytime high-tide predictions for the Delray Beach station are 10:49 a.m. September 11, 11:33 a.m. September 12 and 12:16 p.m. September 13, in Eastern daylight time.
The South Florida Water Management District’s weekly outlook says tidal water levels along Southeast Florida’s coast may approach the National Weather Service’s minor-flooding threshold. Wind and ocean currents can raise or lower water levels relative to tide predictions. If your route takes you beside the water, use the high-tide times as a prompt to check conditions.

Amendment 3: larger exemptions and rules for local spending
If voters approve Amendment 3 in November, the homestead exemption for non-school property taxes would rise to $150,000 in 2027 and $250,000 in 2028, with inflation adjustments afterward. The annual cap on assessment increases for non-homestead property would fall from 10% to 5%. People who are not Florida residents on December 31, 2026 would receive the existing exemption upon qualifying; the larger exemption would begin in their fifth year of exemption, to the extent the U.S. Constitution permits.
The measure specifies uses for county and municipal property taxes: public safety, education, infrastructure, natural resources, bond debt service, employee retirement benefits, and operations and administration. County officers or local governing bodies could approve other spending unless state law prohibits it.
Delray commissioners agreed in August to provide more than $3 million to eight nonprofits, The Coastal Star reports, including about $2.27 million for the library.
Arts Garage CEO Marjorie Waldo said reduced government support could mean reviewing programs and raising prices.
