Delray Beach has been named the best beach in Florida by USA TODAY for a third consecutive year. The recognition follows the city also being named the best beach in the United States for a fourth consecutive year earlier this spring. The repeat honors cap a run that has kept national attention on Delray's shoreline, downtown dining, and walkable Atlantic Avenue corridor. The city has leaned into the visibility, pairing beach programming with summer initiatives like free downtown parking.
Free Parking Wednesdays return to downtown

Free parking is back in downtown Delray Beach on Wednesdays this summer. The program covers city-managed downtown spaces and is aimed at drawing midweek visitors to Atlantic Avenue shops and restaurants during the slower summer season.
Utility Billing Office closing for a week in July

The Delray Beach Utility Billing Office will be closed July 22 through July 27 for a platform upgrade. During the closure, payments can be dropped off at the City Hall drop box or mailed to the processing center in Tampa. No other payment methods will be accepted. Office operations and online services resume July 28.

Rotary Club derby party raised more than $15,000 for youth scholarships

The Rotary Club of Delray Beach's second annual Kentucky Derby–style celebration at Old School Square on May 2 raised more than $15,000, funding 10 scholarships and providing essentials for nearly 100 children experiencing homelessness in the community. 'This event is not only a fun celebration of tradition and style but a testament to what we can accomplish together when we invest in the future of our children,' said club President Rita Rana.
